What Are Veneers?
Veneers are thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials, like beautiful ceramic porcelain, designed to cover the front surface of your teeth. They are an excellent choice for improving the appearance of your smile, addressing concerns such as discoloration, chips, gaps, and misalignment. Dr. Shahira Saad is a skilled cosmetic dentist who can help you achieve the brilliant, confident smile you deserve.

The Veneers Treatment Process
Step 1: Consultation & Smile Design
During your initial consultation, Dr. Saad will perform a comprehensive exam, discuss your smile goals, and determine if veneers are the best option for you. She will take a series of dental and facial photos in our photo studio, as well as digital impressions and bite records using our iTero scanner. This information is used by Dr. Saad and our master ceramist to fabricate the proposed new smile with a diagnostic wax-up. This model is used to design your custom veneers and visualize your final results.
Step 2: Preparation & Temporaries
Dr. Saad will prepare your teeth for the veneers using extremely conservative preparation technique, and sometimes will require no preparation at all! A set of temporary veneers will be created based on the diagnostic wax-up. This gives patients the ability to test drive their new smile before the finals are permanently cemented. You'll then return for a 24-hour post-op check in which we will verify the shape and length of the teeth, color, bite, and speech. Photos and scan of the temporaries are also taken.
Step 3: Final Placement & Reveal
Once your custom veneers are ready, you'll return to LALUME Dental Studio for the final placement. Final veneers will be tried on and you'll have the opportunity to see and approve your veneers before cementation. Dr. Saad will ensure a perfect fit and make any necessary adjustments before bonding the veneers to your teeth. A final scan is also taken of your new veneers for fabrication of a retainer or nightgaurd.
Step 4: Final Check-In & Photos
After two weeks, you'll return for a final check up appointment. Dr. Saad will sit down with you to ensure everything looks and feels good, and deliver your retainer or nightguard to help protect your veneers. Lastly, a final set of photos will be taken to showcase your beautiful new smile.

FAQs
Have questions about veneers? We have answers.
How long do veneers last?
With proper care and maintenance, veneers can last for 10-15 years or more. Dr. Saad will provide you with guidelines to help you maintain your veneers and extend their lifespan.
Are veneers painful?
The veneer process is generally not painful, as Dr. Saad will use local anesthesia to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Some patients may experience mild sensitivity following the placement of their veneers, but this typically subsides within a few days.
How do I care for my veneers?
Caring for your veneers is similar to caring for your natural teeth. Brush twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste, floss daily, and attend regular dental check-ups at LALUME Dental Studio. Avoid biting on hard objects or using your teeth as tools to prevent damaging your veneers.
